Slowly, as the song by Luis Fonsi says, it was about time to come back to my favorite city - BARCELONA. It caught my heart years ago and I've wanted to visit it again since my first visit, so I'm glad I finally had the chance to. It was pretty spontaneous and I didn't know half the people I went with, but it was awesome nonetheless!I was pretty reluctant at first, not only because I didn't know everyone, but also because we decided to stay in a hostel - which I've never done before. However, we took a room for all of us together since we were a group of 10, so we didn't have strangers sleeping with us. And to be honest, the St Christopher's Barcelona did not feel like a hostel at all, as it was really clean and the restaurant next to it, Belushi's, was awesome for pre-gaming, having a quick dinner or even playing beer-pong. But let's go back to the beginning of the whole trip.As our flight was at 9 p.m., we arrived really late in Barcelona and did what no tourist (or any other person) should do: eat at a restaurant on The Ramblas, the famous shopping mile in the center of Barcelona. I knew from the beginning that we should not step foot in one of the restaurants there, as they are over-priced while serving less-than-great food. However, we were starving and our hostel was close to the Ramblas so we had no other choice... |
