I'm back! Two months have passed since my last post and there should be so much to write about. But to be honest, I had so much to do for school and work that I didn't have time for anything - not even shopping! I earned money but had nothing to spend it on, so I decided to check out some online shops. From just looking at a few dresses I got stuck in the virtual world of super-cute clothes and barely stopped myself from adding more to my cart. I decided to limit myself because I do not really trust online shops and I am usually quite against ordering online. However, I had some experiences I want to share with you - let's call this my Online Shop Rating.
1. Asos Although mentioned first, I wouldn’t call it the number 1 online shop as many others would say. However, it is quite on top of the list. The ordered product arrived really fast and in relation to the price of the dress I bought, the quality was pretty good. This was the only item out of all I bought lately that actually looked on me the way I imagined it would. So, thumbs up for Asos!
2. AtMayfair Quite an unknown shop which on the first look doesn't seem like the kind of clothing I would be looking for. However, after scrolling through the list of items, I found many great pieces of clothing. I decided to buy myself the Anastasia wrap– something I’ve wanted to have in my closet for a while now. One could say I won’t need a garment like this now that summer is coming, but in my opinion it is perfect for chilly nights spent outside. I imagine myself sitting at the beach with a good drink in my hand and cuddled up in my furry poncho – just this picture in my head was enough for me to buy it and I have been happy with my choice so far!
3. Romwe This online shop sells outfits I’ve seen on so many Lookbook posts and I’ve always wanted to buy myself something from this shop too. Especially after seeing this dress on Pinterest, I decided to give it a shot – and I am still wondering why I did that! Not only did I have to wait for months for the package to arrive, the material of the dress was of poor quality + see-through! I cannot say the shop itself is bad, but if you’re looking for a long gown like this I wouldn’t recommend you to buy it from Romwe.
Okay, let's be honest - I tried my best to let the pictures look as good as possible, but if you take a look at the details you might understand what I dislike: the transparent material, the shape is more curved than on the sample picture and the dress is way too short. And I don't wanna start talking about the back of the dress!!
4. TwinkleDeals Okay, I have to admit – the name of the shop already sounds too good to be true but seeing all the offers pop up on Facebook made me check out the page, and I immediately knew it would not be a good idea to order here, but (mesmerized by the deals) I still did. One of the two dresses I bought, the babydoll, is actually really cute (well, at least after making it tighter myself since size S looked like a large piece on me and I had to wear a bikini top with it), but the white-and-purple one was completely different from what I had expected. Not only the material, but also the cut and the length are not like in the picture. So, although the site has pretty good deals – one has to be really careful!
All in all, I think I will stick to the old-school kind of shopping, but in case it happens again that I have little time but money to spend, I would probably go for AtMayfair or Asos. What about you? Where do you like to (Online-)Shop?
