The leaves are falling and the busiest season is approaching, although I have to say that I have been quite busy for the past two months already - I got a new full-time position at my company, my last semester at university started and I had a social life to maintain (although I quite failed at that, as well as keeping up with the blog). But here I am now, sparing my free time to reminisce about summer and the great time I had with my family in Croatia: back at the resort we stayed at last year, Crvena Luka. I will not go into much detail about the hotel, as I wrote a lot about it in 2016 (go to my old post here). However, it did change a bit since it was bought up by someone else - and I have to say that I am glad about this, because this time they offered classes of gymnastics & dancing in the water every morning :D Besides morning water gymnastics, playing volleyball in the water, sun-bathing, reading books and having game nights with our parents we did not do much - except one day: we had heard a lot about the Krka waterfalls and decided to go see them. Since it is a really big national park and we did not want to spend more than a day there, we went to Skradinski Buk, the most famous part where you can swim "under" the waterfalls. What I had in mind was not what I got: besides the super-long queue to get tickets, we had to wait even longer to get on the boat that takes you to Skradinski Buk so we decided to just walk there and enjoy the scenery. Well, there was not much to be seen on the road we took. I was happy to finally arrive at the swimming place, but there were so many people that you had to fight your way into the water. Of course, the landscape was beautiful, and I really enjoyed the day there, especially seeing everything from high up, but there were just too many people everywhere. |
